Now add the teaspoon of poppy seeds to it. Let it boil for some time and then its ready to consume. Turmeric is high in antioxidants due to the presence of curcumin in it. Studies suggest that turmeric acts as a natural mood booster and helps to reduce the blood pressure. Due to the antioxidant properties of turmeric, it protects us from the damage caused by oxidants like stress and has a relaxing effect on our mind.

Triphala is an Ayurvedic herb well known for its amazing benefits. It is high in antioxidants that helps to cleanse the colon, smoothen the digestive system and detoxify the body. To make Triphala tea you require a teaspoon of triphala powder and a glass of water. Add the powder to a glass of water and let it soak overnight. Now the next morning, boil the water so much, so that it reduces its quantity to half a glass. You can add some sugar to enhance the taste and have it empty stomach in the morning. Triphala tea is a good alternative to regular tea and is helpful in treating mild constipation and piles.

Both cumin and fennel have cooling properties and are helpful in digestion, gas, loss of appetite, IBS etc.
